About these tools
Everything happens on your device using the browser's canvas. Your photos are never uploaded, which matters for personal pictures, client work, and anything with location data embedded in it. Processing speed depends on your device; a 12-megapixel phone photo usually takes a second or two.
A few rules of thumb: use JPG or WebP for photos, PNG for screenshots and graphics with sharp edges or transparency. WebP files are typically 25 to 35 percent smaller than equivalent JPGs. Keep your original, because every lossy re-save discards a little detail.
